if you asked them to name the social factors that had the greatest influence on their health and the health of women they knew? The Prairie Womens Health Centre of Excellence found out last fall, and their Action Plan for Womens Health in Manitoba and Saskatchewan shares the news. Health care workers, community organizers, academics, policy makers and individuals highlighted 12 areas for priority action in health care and beyond. The Womens Health Unit of Manitoba Health has adopted the full 12-point Plan as part of their Womens Health Strategy, but its too soon to tell what genuine policy impact this will have. The Prairie Womens Health Centre will continue to work with government and communities to track the implementation of the Plan over the next months and years.
